Creta Verano Hotel

The staff were kind and helpful, and the location worked well for us. It's central, though a bit of a walk from the beach, which gave us a good excuse to get out walking. The room was very clean. We were on the top floor, and with the flat roof the AC could barely cool the room at night. I'd ask for a ground-floor room if I visited again. Apart from that, everything was alright.

A nice choice if you're planning to spend your holiday in Herakleion, Crete. The hotel is just off the old town, which is lovely to wander around, but it's outside central Malia so you can avoid the area's hustle and bustle. It's run by a family who are friendly and gentle, and really go the extra mile to make travellers comfortable.

The rooms and the rest of the hotel were clean, and the staff were friendly. Nothing fancy, but it was worth it for a 3-star place.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and the hotel owner was helpful too. Breakfast changed a little each day, with tea, coffee, juice and water to choose from. There was a nice lady serving in the kitchen. The rooms were basic but clean, refreshed daily, and I had no complaints about them. It's about a 20-minute walk to the beach and roughly the same to the mountains. The town centre is close, with plenty of grocery and souvenir shops, restaurants and bars. There’s a small neat pool with loungers, umbrellas, a shower and a toilet, plus a lobby bar for drinks and chips. The drawback was the room was hard to bear without AC, which cost 9€ a day. Thanks for the hospitality! :)
