The location was excellent, and I loved having a balcony. The room was clean and everything worked, with a comfortable bed and a warm shower with good pressure. They also left a complimentary bottle of wine, toast, and jam.

The owner was very kind and let us leave our backpacks while we went exploring. We only stayed one night on Hydra, and the room had what we needed for a short visit, including a really comfortable bed. It’s just uphill from the port, and our tiny balcony was a nice place to have a drink and watch the bustle below. Mule and handcart deliveries pass early in the morning, but that didn’t bother us.

We had a really nice welcome, and communication with our hosts was great. The room had pretty much everything we needed, and the port is only about a 3 minute walk away. I’ll certainly consider booking again when I’m back in Hydra.

The staff were kind, and the place was kept clean. The location is great, close to everything, and there’s an all day cocktail and brunch bar opposite with good music at a volume that wasn’t irritating. You get morning sunlight and a nice balcony for coffee. The rooms are really just for sleeping and showering, which is fine if that’s what you have in mind. Just remember to shut the windows at night, since the carrying tracks are very noisy early in the morning.

The hostess was friendly and full of useful information. It’s a cozy, clean room right in the city, next to popular places and just a minute from the port, where you can catch very affordable boats to the island’s best beaches. The place is always booked, so book while you can. 5/5
