Alea Hotel Apartments

The hotel made for a great family stay. There are plenty of shops nearby, and the pool area was lovely, with a smaller pool for children. Our room was quiet, clean and spacious, with a nice private balcony. We paid extra for AC and were glad we did. The staff were welcoming when we arrived and helpful throughout. Breakfast, drinks and bar food were all wonderful, and the pool was a refreshing place to relax after a hot day. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day. I can’t think of a single downside and would happily recommend it.

We really loved this hotel and would stay again. It was one of our favourite spots after many trips to Greek islands. The location is handy for restaurants, shops, chemists and the beach, which is an easy seven minute walk. The beach was beautiful, with clear water, clean sand, and comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. We especially liked dinner at Knights of Olde and San Allote, both had lovely food and staff. The hotel itself was quiet and comfortable: our room was clean, the beds were good, and we didn’t hear anything with the AC running. The bathroom had a bath and shower, the balcony was a good size, and the kitchen had what we needed, including a full size fridge and freezer. Breakfast came with our booking. It wasn’t fancy, but we enjoyed the juice, coffee and food each morning while touring the island. The on site bar and restaurant were also great. The pool isn’t huge, but it’s usually quiet, probably because the beach is so close; we went for a swim a few evenings. One day, we walked straight out of the hotel, crossed the road by the police station and carried on for about ten minutes to a beautiful church. I’m not religious, but I love church architecture and art, and this one was a real wow.

The only thing I’d change is the bathroom shower curtain, which had seen better days. Otherwise, it was a comfortable week in a basic but clean room. Towels and bedding were changed regularly, and staff were welcoming and friendly from the start. The bar area was comfortable for people watching or having a nightcap, with drinks at very reasonable prices. Everything is within walking g distance, and we’d recommend the apartments and come back.

I’d recommend it wholeheartedly. The location works well for all sorts of needs, and the rooms are lovely, with a refreshing, beautiful pool. Great value for money on my second trip to rhodos. The staff are genuinely kind, humble people. Thanks to all of you, and to the lady.
