Paleos Apartments

The clean pool was my favorite part, and there was a good range of books on the shelf by reception. I read five during the week, which was a nice break since I rarely get time to read day to day. They also had information and flyers for activities, and made booking them easy with transfers included. The Greek night was great too, with performers who did a good job getting guests involved. We stayed for a week at Paleos hotel apartment, a family-run, affordable place in a fabulous location. Shops, beaches, and restaurants are within walking distance, and the airport is a 10 to 15 minute drive depending on traffic. Gianni's and Maria were lovely and kept checking in on us. Gianni's also let us know which days the weather was poor and warned us if we were heading out. The food menu for breakfast and dinner could have had more variety, though for a 3* hotel they did well with what was available. The smoking around the restaurant bar was off-putting for me and my husband as non-smokers. We struggled to enjoy meals there, so we went to dinner early and left as soon as we finished to avoid breathing in too much smoke. Still, we had an amazing stay and holiday.

The apartment was beautiful and peaceful, and the pool was spotless, a good size, and had plenty of space to relax. We also enjoyed the tasty bar food at reasonable prices and good value drinks. Giannis made some of the nicest cocktails I’ve ever had! Giannis and Maria were wonderful hosts, welcoming and helpful every step of the way. The whole place has a lovely family-run feel. Paleos Apartments is well placed too, with the beach and Ialyssos centre a 5 to 10 minute walk away and lots of bars, restaurants, and shops to choose from. Rhodes Town is an easy bus ride, using either the hotel shuttle or the public stop across the road. We’ve just returned from a week here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rhodes!

I went for my birthday, and they made the trip so memorable. I was also dealing with a bereavement while I was there, and Maria and Gianni's were so kind to me. Best holiday I’ve had in years.

The family-run hotel has very clean rooms, cleaned every day, and Yannis and Maria offer friendly, personal service and really go the extra mile. The Greek Night is lots of fun. The pool area is lovely and always clean, right by the rooms, with plenty of loungers. Definitely a highlight. Breakfast was average, and the service could feel stressful. It would be easier if cereals and hot drinks were self-service. Asking for the same thing again could get a stare or leave staff flustered. There was no fresh fruit. The air conditioning and fan cost extra, €55 and €15 respectively for a week. It’s not a huge amount, but it’s odd to pay for them when they’re standard in almost every hotel. There were no toiletries in the bathrooms either, despite it being classed as a hotel. It’s on a busy road, and the pebble beach is about a 10 minute walk away.
