Pylea Beach Hotel

We arrived after 11pm, travelling from the UK with Jet2 Holidays, and were made to feel welcome right away. The staff were friendly and helpful every day. We stayed on HB, which suits us when we travel, and there was a pool and beach bar open daily for anyone wanting food or a drink during the day. We never struggled to find a sunbed, and hotel guests could use free ones on the pebble beach as well. Getting to Rhodes Town was easy from the main road. Since the hotel is 11km out, we could always get a seat on the bus, while people boarding after our stop had to stand on the crowded bus. We also hired a car for three days from Superior Cars just around the corner. It was straightforward, and we’d recommend them.

We weren’t staying at the hotel, so I can’t comment on the rooms, though they looked good from outside. We spent every day by the pool on the sunbeds, and ate and drank here too. It really made our holiday. The pool was perfect, and the food and drinks were amazing. The changing rooms and toilets were clean, and the staff were polite, courteous and friendly. It seemed like a family-run hotel. There’s a shaded outdoor dining area by the snack bar, which serves hot and cold food and drinks. Beers were about €5 and soft drinks €2. Food ranged from a €5 burger to a full meal for €16. I thought it was good value for the facilities we used. Thanks for making our stay wonderful.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything else at the hotel was great. I chose to have dinner there too and enjoyed it. One small suggestion: labels for the dishes would help, since it was hard to tell what everything was.

The pool was crystal clear, the gardens were tended to every day, and the hotel was very clean. It’s a beautiful family-run place right on the beach, with wonderful, helpful staff and an amazing chef. Air conditioning comes standard. We’d definitely visit again!
