The hotel staff's customer service was very unprofessional, and I found the food could be better for a four-star place. The coffee was disgusting, and the pool bar cocktails weren't good either. We stayed five nights and nobody came to clean our room. The beds were dirty and in bad shape, there was too much humidity, and we even saw cockroaches. There were many stray cats around the restaurant. One crossed my path and I didn't see it, and I hurt my ankle in an accident. I booked because I thought a four-star hotel would be good, but what a surprise. There's nothing here I'd recommend, and I really don't know why it has four stars. If you visit Rodos, please stay somewhere else. There are much nicer places.

The suite was in good condition, with a comfortable bed, a large balcony, and a fairly decent view. For what I paid, it was all decent, and the beach is a two-minute walk away with a supermarket next door. I was charged €35 tax on arrival without having known about it, but it wasn't a big deal. The staff were pleasant, and I was initially willing to stay again. Still, I gave it three stars because breakfast mattered to me and was so poor. The buffet was basic, plain, and the same every day, the worst I've come across despite traveling a lot. Since I didn't book all inclusive, I wouldn't pay for breakfast again. Room cleaning was another issue during my five nights. The housekeepers mostly just made the bed, and I was lucky if they took the rubbish. They never topped up the shower gel or changed my towels. The reception was sometimes unattended, leaving me waiting when I was in a rush. I asked for a beach towel and got a white one, which wasn't very convenient, but at least I got one. The bar was dull too, with very limited drinks in tiny cups and no straws. The atmosphere was sad, though the staff seemed to enjoy themselves after their shift.

My partner and I stayed eight nights in September on an all-inclusive package. On the first evening, I got food poisoning from the moussaka and had vomiting and digestive problems. The food was greasy, often undercooked, and the same day after day: beans, fries, greasy sausages, sometimes rice and potatoes. There was very little fruit or vegetables, and the meals were inedible. Drinks were alcoholic only because they said they were waiting for a delivery of non-alcoholic beverages, but it never arrived during the nine days we were there. When I complained to reception about the food, they promised chicken and potatoes the next day, but that didn't happen. There was moussaka again. When I said I wouldn't eat it because it had made me sick, the receptionist insisted it was a different moussaka. We bought our own food and tried to eat it at a dining room table, but they wouldn't let us and kicked us out. One receptionist also worked in the kitchen without a cap and licked her fingers while serving food. The room smelled, there was no hot water, and the bathtub stayed full of the same water for four days. It stank and was full of insects because the drain didn't work. Reception said they didn't have an employee to fix it. The door lock kept failing, so we had to bring the key card to reception each time to reactivate it. Some days we waited about twenty minutes, as many as five times, and reception was supposed to be open 24/7 but was almost always empty. When we asked the restaurant bartender to find the receptionist, he said it wasn't his concern. There was a light fixture above the bed that nearly fell on our heads. Housekeeping didn't tidy the room, so we had to ask reception for clean towels. On the last day, they kicked us out early because they said they wouldn't wait for us to clean it. The pool was awful, with dirty water full of leaves, broken boards around it, and filthy loungers. The whole hotel smelled bad, and dusty old furniture and chairs were piled in every corner. We reported all the problems, but nobody helped, saying they couldn't do anything. Plenty of other guests were unhappy too.

The staff were friendly, personal, and helpful, and no request seemed like too much trouble. The hotel is well placed near supermarkets and a beautiful beach. We enjoyed the food and its good selection, and the staff were attentive. We'd definitely stay again.

The pool was nice, and the rooms were adequate. Some staff were really helpful, though others weren't, and the two hot tubs didn't work. The food was the real problem: I'm not picky, but it was abysmal and the same every day. I'm pretty sure they reused food left out from dinner. I wouldn't stay again.
