Kakkos Bay Hotel & Bungalows

The deep blue sea and sunshine made the scenery beautiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks were great. A fantastic place to stay.

The beach and water were beautifully clean, and we had a relaxing stay. The pool had too few sunbeds, and some guests left towels on them for hours without coming back. Smoking near the kids’ pool was also a regular issue, so a designated smoking area there would help. What made the biggest difference was the staff. Everyone, from reception to the bartenders, was welcoming and made us feel at home. Special thanks to both Nikos’s in the restaurant, who went out of their way to make us feel special, and to Nikos at reception, who was very helpful too. There must be something about that name at this hotel 😁 We’d booked a sea view room, but there was a small mix-up at first. The staff sorted it quickly and moved us to a gorgeous panoramic room overlooking the sea and mountains. It was worth waiting for. The rooms were spotless and well looked after, and we found plenty to enjoy in the food. It may not suit everyone, as we’d seen in other reviews, but some favourite dishes even came back on later days, which we appreciated. We got a lovely first impression from the calming scent when we arrived. It was a 10/10 stay for us, and we’d love to return to Kakkos Bay. It’s a great spot for proper relaxation. Thanks to everyone for making it memorable.

The service is what we’ll remember most about our stay at Kakkos bay. Maria at reception was so kind, always ready to help and find a solution. The pool bar and restaurant teams were just as great, and we were sorry to have to head home. The hotel is very clean and the food was wonderful too. I can definitely recommend Kakkos bay hotel.

The all-inclusive setup wasn’t quite my thing, but the hotel was clean, peaceful, and in a quiet location. We had a lovely stay at Kakkos Bay Hotel in early August. When we felt unwell, the restaurant manager kindly suggested traditional Cretan herbal tea, and it helped us feel better so we could enjoy the rest of the holiday. Nikos at reception also made a big impression. He was welcoming, kind, and professional, and even made sure our stay began and ended well, including a golf cart ride at the end 😅 It’s a beautiful place to relax, with staff who really care about their guests. If you’re after some peace and quiet and a local feeling of Crete, this is a lovely choice.
