Blue Dolphins Apartments & Suites

The balcony suite was really comfortable, and the view was stunning. The staff also made late check-in and planning activities easy. Breakfast was excellent too. We had a great time at Blue Dolphins and would happily recommend it.

We paid 200 euros a night for three nights in a family suite. Before we arrived, the hotel kept emphasizing how hard it was to find transport from the port in Santorini and quoted 55 euros for a private transfer. We booked our own for 35 euros. The bigger issue was the lack of overnight help. This didn't feel like a proper hotel, since reception was unattended from 9 pm to 9 am. On our first night, the room lights went out at 10:30 pm. The reception room was locked, with three emergency numbers posted. We called and messaged all of them, but no one answered. Early the next morning, we got a WhatsApp asking, “is everything alright?” That was the level of service. Breakfast came to the room, but nobody asked about our preferences or allergies, and we got nearly the same things each morning. There’s also no porter, so be prepared to carry your own bags up and down the stairs. Our trip around Greece was fantastic, apart from this sham of a hotel.

The quiet setting, away from the tourist area, suited us well, and breakfast was excellent. It was served at tables right outside our door, with a fantastic view. The staff also carried our bags on the stairs, and Christina was quick to help arrange transport from the ferry and later to the airport. We’d stay again. I’d just want softer memory foam pillows and a better shower.

Our clean, comfortable room had a balcony where we could unwind after a day out, and the staff were warm and helpful with bookings and suggestions. From there, it was an easy walk to Fira’s main square, shops, and those lovely caldera views. Breakfast was decent, though not great, and could use more variety. The Wi-Fi dropped out now and then. Still, the place felt peaceful while being close to the heart of Santorini, and I’d recommend it.
