Unique Suites

We kept the doors and windows shut most of the time because there were flies and other critters around, and a few got into our room. We dealt with them quickly. On the plus side, the location was very relaxing, with little traffic since it’s at the end of a road. There are also a handful of nice restaurants nearby. The sunset view from my room was spectacular, and the indoor hot tub was a treat. The room was clean and the service was good. We were there in April and always found a parking spot, though I imagine parking could be tricky in high season.

Getting to the room was easy, since it was at street level. We didn’t have to haul our luggage down the cliffside steps, and our taxi/uber dropped us right at the front door. The honeymoon suite’s hot tub fit two, though the water was lukewarm rather than truly hot. We visited in August, and it was actually refreshing to use during the daytime heat. We chose the suite for our 30th anniversary and had a fantastic stay. From the balcony, the sunset over the Caldera was amazing. Imerovigli was a great base, with plenty of food options in walking distance. Our favorite, Aroma Gefsis, was a two-minute walk away. The hotel is about 1.25 miles from Fira and 5.0 miles from Oia, and sits directly above Skaros Rock.

The room and view were fantastic, but the customer service was very poor. The listing promised free parking and wifi, yet there was no reserved parking, so we had to compete for public spaces in town. The wifi didn’t work, and management didn’t seem interested in fixing it.

We had a cave room with a small terraza for enjoying the view, and the caldera outlook was amazing. The hot tub was a decent size for two. Each morning, breakfast was brought to the room and was delicious. The staff were attentive and ready to help.
