Onar Corfu Aparts & Studios

The location is what makes Onar such a tempting place to stay. Ypsos is small and beautiful, with restaurants, little markets, and other amenities nearby. The beach is quiet, small, and felt safe and private. The water stayed calm, which made swimming easy, and as a solo traveler I was glad my things were never touched. The cleaning staff were kind, cheerful, and helpful. I only saw the owner at check-in. There was also a calm, cute puppy around, who I started calling Mr. Manager since he seemed to keep an eye on the place. The big problem was the noise from the bar below. I knew it was there, but the site and booking information didn't make clear how loud it gets. The music and bass vibrations kept me awake, and the windows and walls don't block the sound. I'm usually a night person, so I managed, but it was frustrating and felt disingenuous. I wish I'd known in advance so I could bring earplugs. If you don't party until 5 am every night, I wouldn't recommend staying here if you need sleep. I'm still glad I got to visit Ypsos. It's beautiful, and the cleaning staff deserve a big thank you.

The one bright spot was the location, right by the sea, with free access to the beach club. The owners were very kind too. But the bar downstairs stays open until 3 a.m., and since the hotel is directly above it, every bit of noise carries up. We didn't sleep either night. The mattresses were awful, and the pillows were barely pillows. My neck hurt for quite a while afterward. This was the worst money I've ever spent.

The sea view from the large balcony was amazing. You can see the beach, water, boardwalk, and nature, and the balcony had comfortable chairs and a big table. The room was clean and everything felt new. Guests can use the hotel's comfortable sunbeds for free, and there's a shower by them. The beach is right across the street, and the bus stop is only 10 meters away. There's a bar downstairs that gets busy in the evening, but the music wasn't too loud and we slept well. Hotel staff were always smiling, kind, and ready to answer questions or help. We'd definitely come back.

We came with a friend and were really impressed by the wonderful place and the great staff. We'll definitely return!
