The pool was the warmest we’ve ever swum in, and the sunbeds, pool and well-kept gardens were lovely. Our basic room was clean and comfortable, with a kettle, hob, fridge and hairdryer. The rooms all seemed to have lovely views. There were no English TV channels, which was fine for us, and the Wi-Fi worked well, usually better on the patio. We had a really relaxing week and enjoyed the quiet, idyllic setting, the views and facilities. It felt a bit like having our own villa. The owners weren’t around much, as other reviewers have mentioned. Demitros gave us a lovely welcome and helped with our luggage, and we saw him wave once later. His phone number was available, but it would have been helpful to have a general chat in person about the area. We felt a little isolated in that way. The location was a bit too far from the nearest bar and the beach for us to walk comfortably in the 40 degree heat. Joys cafe, supermarkets and a couple of nice restaurants are only five minutes away, but the route is slightly uphill. Coming back in the dark felt daunting, and we needed a torch, which seemed to attract creatures and freaked me out a bit. The beach journey was much longer than we expected, even though we’re quite fit, and the village bus only goes three times a day. We went to the Squirrel restaurant once, but the hilly walk back was too much. Another evening we paid €15 for a taxi from Dominos pool bar restaurant to avoid the climb. If you don’t mind driving, I’d suggest hiring a car.

Dimitros and his Father made us feel so welcome, with friendly smiles and waves, coffee, and lots of tips on places to visit and getting around. They even offered suggestions whenever we needed them. We had a wonderful, private stay in Corfu, with a lovely pool overlooking the mountains and sea. The apartments and facilities were spotless and comfortable, and the air conditioning was very welcome. The beach is within walking distance, and 60 needles, a fabulous restaurant, is five minutes from the apartment. We really didn’t want to leave and fully intend to come back next year.

The rooms were tidy enough, but the host was very rude and made the stay miserable. I heard this was normal, as he has no respect for the customers who give him a living, and our experience certainly seemed to confirm that. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We wished we could have stayed longer, and you won’t regret booking here. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay, mostly thanks to Dimitris and his lovely parents, whose hospitality was amazing. Dimitris is the person to ask about the island, and he went out of his way to help make our visit comfortable and memorable. From the warm airport welcome and lovely coffee to the fresh, clean, lovely-smelling bed linen, everything was so thoughtful. The property was beautifully maintained, with immaculate gardens and pool area. 10 out of 10, and I’d highly recommend it when staying in Corfu. If you rent a car or other transport, make sure to ask Dimitris about renting through him. Thanks again, and see you next time, can’t wait!

The owners are the nicest, most helpful people, and it was really sad to leave. Everything about the place was amazing, and we’ll definitely go back. The setting is perfect if you love the mountains and the sea, and the pool is very clean and beautiful. Tasty restaurants and supermarkets are just around the corner. Definitely the best place to relax and enjoy Corfu.
