Akrolithi Guesthouse

We asked about early check-in and were glad they could accommodate us when we arrived. The hosts were sweet and easy to deal with. Breakfast, included with the stay, was just right before heading to the beach, with local Mani specialties and homemade jams. The guesthouse has lovely rock and wood details throughout and sits in a perfect spot overlooking the sea. We’ll consider coming back next time and would recommend it to everyone. Thanks for making our time in Mani memorable!

The setting is lovely, and getting there is easy, with affordable roads and parking right on the property. In the morning, you can eat breakfast among the sparrows and hear the waves below. The owners are the friendliest, and the cocktails and food are so good you’ll want to linger inside with friends or your partner. I absolutely recommend it!

We liked the beautiful, clean room and its little balcony with a great sea view. It’s a convenient five-minute drive from Limeni, though the hotel itself feels isolated. The service, unfortunately, didn’t match the room. The woman working at reception and the breakfast area came across as abrupt and unhelpful. Before arriving, I called to ask whether the room would be ready when we got there, just so we could plan whether to go to the beach first. We weren’t pressuring her, but she was quite rude on the phone and told us to be patient as if we’d attacked her. Later, when we asked about water because there was none in the fridge and shops required a car, she told us with the same attitude to walk to reception in the other building, in 45-degree heat. I was happy to pay for water; I expected some in the fridge for what we paid, or at least a polite answer. It’s a very nice boutique hotel, but I don’t think the service is worth the price.

We loved this place. Our room had a lovely view over Karavostasi bay and was built in the authentic local style of Mani houses. The family running the hotel were warm and very helpful, and breakfast was delicious Greek food. We also arranged a private boat trip through the hotel with Pierros, a charming guide who showed us the different caves nearby. One of the most beautiful spots in Greece!
