Pavillion1

Four of us spent one night here on 30 April, and I'd gladly return. The place has an unusual, appealing layout and was spotless. There's plenty of parking if you're driving. Getting into town takes about ten minutes on foot along a quiet road, though cars pass now and then. Once there, you'll find lots of places to eat. We also found the indoor cooking setup fine, and there's a pretty good BBQ.

The owner was nice, and the interior was lovely for a budget friendly stay. There's a good outdoor area with a gazebo and BBQ, plus parking spaces. A trekking path to the monastery is nearby, and the city centre and restaurants are about 1 km away. A beautiful home for a vacation.

Katerina was so kind and helpful, and we were welcomed with homemade liquor and cookies, much appreciated. The place itself is spacious, modern, clean, and the kitchen has everything you need. It's right by the path up to st.trinity monastery. The walk takes around 45 minutes uphill and about the same coming back down. We also loved sitting on the patio with a beer at night. Highly recommend it, and I'd definitely come back. I imagine winter would be fantastic here.

Pavilion 2 was just like the pictures, a clean, quiet place to unwind after exploring. A main trailhead for hiking Meteora is only a few metres uphill, and the main part of town with restaurants, shops, and supermarkets is about a ten-minute walk downhill. We hit transportation problems because of flooding in the region. Katarina helped us work out alternatives, called to check what was available for us, and let us use the shared patio after checkout. Both the host and home were wonderful. I'd highly recommend staying here when visiting Kalambaka.
