Achillion Palace

We only booked three nights because of an emergency. Otherwise, we wouldn't have agreed to stay here. The rooms weren't clean, with dust visible on the bedside area and furniture. Sunlight hit the balcony all day, so we couldn't use it, and the toilet was in very poor condition. There was hot water and air conditioning, though. The location was very peaceful, and the room was a good size with a balcony. The parking area was huge. I think there was a pool, but I didn't use it. With a few small improvements, this could be a nice place to rest after a long trip.

The food was delicious, and the place was friendly and welcoming. Despina in particular was kind and helped me with whatever I needed. Our room was spacious and clean, and the building has a beautiful look, almost like it's from the 18th century. It's in a great spot for anyone wanting a break from city life. There's a pool for kids, which they especially enjoyed. The bar is open around dinner and stays open past midnight. It was the cheapest option among the nearby hotels, and I'd definitely recommend it.

It's in the middle of nowhere, which makes it a lovely choice if you want to relax away from city noise. This family-run hotel has great food, and the warm welcome makes you feel like part of the family right away. That feeling is priceless. 😍

They list AMEX as a payment option through booking sites, but apparently they don't accept it. That left me with a confirmed booking while they marked my credit card details as invalid, which also triggered problems with my card company. I offered to pay on arrival by debit card. Instead, they quietly labeled my card invalid and said they couldn't risk a no-show. If their payment system is set up incorrectly, the customer shouldn't have to deal with the consequences or possible credit card trouble. Be careful. A basic payment system that doesn't work, combined with service that could leave a customer flagged for fraud, is reason enough to avoid this place.
