Sunrise Apartments

We stayed for a week and had a brilliant time. The owner and receptionist were really nice and helped with everything we needed. Our room was big, with a balcony, and the kitchen and bathroom were in good condition. The air conditioning worked well enough to keep us comfortable on the hottest days, and the bed was comfy. The beach and a shop are about four minutes away. The price for what we got was fantastic, and we'd highly recommend this place.

Natasha was a dream, full of useful local knowledge, and her recommendations really made our honeymoon. The place has a warm, generous atmosphere, and the accommodation was comfortable, lovely, and very clean. We'll definitely stay here again. I can't recommend it enough.

I chose Sunrise Apartments for one night because I needed somewhere near the airport, and the low price was tempting. It's about 15 minutes from Chania Airport, but I wouldn't stay again. The room was filthy, with old coffee bags, tea boxes, and cosmetics left by previous guests. Under the bed was so dirty that I'm sure it hadn't been vacuumed. I had to kill a spider, a centipede, and a beetle, then spent the night fighting off mosquitoes and got no sleep. The shower drain was blocked and the toilet leaked. If the room had been clean, those other issues might not have felt like such a big deal, but it seemed not to have been properly cleaned at all and made me uncomfortable. If you're an enthusiast for local insects and a fierce hygiene theory fan, maybe this is the place for you. Everyone else might want to spend 20 euros more on a nice hotel.

To be clear, notifying the relevant tourism authorities that this business doesn't meet tourism standards isn't a threat. Nothing in my review is made up. The place was absolutely disgusting, with no hygiene at all. If the room wasn't ready, I shouldn't have been handed a key and checked in. Your receptionist told me it was clean. I should have been asked to wait until it was cleaned. Stop lying to potential customers. You took money and offered nothing. That's a scam and stealing.
