We regret booking this place without reading the reviews first. In my experience, the negative reviews here are true, and I wouldn't advise staying at either of these two hotels. The owner also runs "Faraggi Guest House" and "Oneiro Resort," which is 500 meters away. We saw a review mentioning bed bugs at the faraggi guest house and wanted to check further. When we called, the owner shouted that the room was clean and told us to inspect it. On arrival, we found a dull room with a damp smell; there was some hair on the blanket and yellow stamps on it. We were furious. The owner then offered us a room at oneiro resort for an extra 30 euros. We asked to see those rooms too, and they were dirty as well. The owner kept shouting and said he didn't have our money. I believed that was a lie: we'd sent the money through Iris when booking, and we confirmed the number was his by calling him in front of him, but he wouldn't answer. We left and found another hotel that was closer to kalavrita and cheaper. Don't book either of these places, or you may regret it.

There was a fireplace and warm water, but plenty of problems with the room. Booking.com listed it as 35m2, though it was actually under 25m2. There was no wifi signal in the room, the bathroom was small, and the closet was broken. The TV remote had no batteries, and every radiator had spiderwebs on it. The firewood was piled with nails sticking out, which was dangerous. There wasn't a kitchen as described, just a cooking ring. We arrived at the guesthouse around 14:00 as arranged, but nobody was there, so we waited half an hour. We had a reservation through booking.com, but the owner wanted cash up front, saying the credit card couldn't be processed. We got no receipt.

It was okay, fairly clean, and close to Kalavrita. I didn't like being asked by the manager to cancel our booking.com reservation so we could get free firewood, without any explanation of how the two were connected. It seemed to me they wanted to avoid the booking fee but didn't want to say so. I don't like dishonest merchants.

The owner's attitude was the worst we've ever encountered, and the hospitality was unacceptable. He cancelled our web booking so he could make us pay cash without giving a receipt. I'd advise avoiding this place.

A lovely, warm house with a fireplace, set in the woods near a river and the ski resort.
