Right in the center of Kalavryta, overlooking the lovely central square, this hotel is a real gem. The rooms are spotless, quiet and warm, with comfy mattresses and a powerful hot-water shower. Everyone was so polite. Breakfast is the best I’ve ever had, a buffet of homemade cakes, pies and traditional pastries from Mrs Efi, with eggs cooked how you like, baked bread and fresh orange juice. It’s a charming little place that feels true to Kalavryta, run by a family who really care about their business. Mrs Efi co-owns it with her husband Mr Andreas, who does a great job at the front of the house. We can’t recommend it enough.

We booked at the last minute and had a wonderful stay. The family who own and run the hotel were lovely, and our triple room was very comfortable, with excellent air conditioning, a balcony and a nice view. Breakfast had lots of fresh, homemade choices, both savory and sweet. The hotel is charming and right in the center of Kalavryta, close to the square, tavernas and the excellent Kalavryta holocaust museum. Parking was easy too.

The balcony views were fantastic, and the breakfasts had a comforting, homemade feel. We stayed for three days in a spacious, clean place that was furnished with care. We visited in summer, but I imagine the fireplaces would make a winter stay extra special.

Breakfast was a generous buffet, and the food was tasty. The rooms were clean and fairly well equipped, with a proper shower enclosure instead of one of those clammy curtains. The beds were decent and the staff friendly. For a hotel in a small town, I doubt you’ll find much better.
