Ismini Apartments

Ismini was such a kind, gentle, generous person, and I'd gladly stay again. The house has a lovely Venetian feel and was very peaceful. My son and I enjoyed playing football in the huge grassy garden. Ismini takes care of the beach herself, and it was immaculate, private, and relaxing. I can only guess the four one-star reviews came from people upset about being asked to leave the private beach. Thank you, Ismini, for being so lovely and inspiring. Five stars.

The gardens run all the way to the beach, where guests can use the private sunbeds and umbrellas for free. We stayed in the beautifully maintained, spotless Beach house, with magnificent views, and we're hoping to book again next year. The apartments and beach house date back more than 400 years to Crete's Venetian occupation. The owner lives on site and knows Kalyves well, as well as being extremely helpful. Without a doubt, the best place to stay in Kalyves.

Ismini was a wonderful host, and the apartment was clean and welcoming. I've never slept in more comfortable beds. The place is right by a lovely private beach, with a quiet stretch of sand that Ismini keeps just for her guests. The little town is charming, with all the shops you need nearby. Thanks, Ismini. We've stayed at Ismini's Beach House every September since 2013, and it's a beautiful, unique haven. Ismini is caring and works hard to make things perfect for her guests. The years of five-star visits show that. A group who had never stayed at Ismini Apartments each left a one-star review after Ismini repeatedly asked them to move their sunbeds from her private beach back to the busier hotel umbrella area. Their reviews brought the overall rating down to 3.5 stars, and the way they describe what happened isn't accurate. The other reviews reflect the place better. Ismini Apartments and Ismini herself deserve five stars.
