Alexandra Hotel

This was our second visit, and we’d come back again. It’s a family-run hotel with a personal touch and friendly staff throughout. Breakfast had a good selection and was more than adequate. The hotel is very close to the airport, so planes fly overhead. It didn’t bother us, and we got used to it quickly. The pool and sun loungers can be an issue, as they are at most hotels, but we barely used them because we spent our time at the beach or sightseeing.

The staff were kind and helpful, and our room was cleaned every day. It’s really close to the sea. The planes are loud, but we adjusted quickly and stopped noticing them. Definitely recommend!

Our stay at the Alexander Hotel was enjoyable, and we’ll definitely return. The location made it easy to get around and explore the area, and whenever we had a question or needed directions, the team was ready to help with a smile. This friendly family-run place gave us a warm welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were so helpful, and their hospitality gave the hotel a personal feel. Our room was spotless, cleaned daily, and came with fresh towels. You can tell cleanliness and comfort matter here. The food also had a good variety to suit everyone. The pool area isn’t very big if you want to sunbathe, but that didn’t bother us since we prefer to get out and about rather than lounge by the pool. We honestly couldn’t fault anything.

There are lovely local dogs around that seem to belong to nearby homes, and lots of beautiful cats living outside. As an animal lover, I hope people don’t ignore them. I put out wet food early in the morning and again in the evening because of the heat, and always try to leave fresh water too. Please do your bit if you can. If you can afford drinks, you can afford to feed a hungry animal. Small kind acts matter. This family-owned hotel felt like paradise to me and deserves more than five stars. The friendly, professional staff go above and beyond, and the bar team are warm, welcoming and always up for a chat. The cleaning staff deserve a special mention too. It’s by far the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in, with real attention to detail. The pool area was excellent. Even when it was full, it never felt crowded, so you could really relax. ❤️
