Ancient Thera Apartments

The property was clean, though quite old and basic, and the breakfast was very simple, nothing special. We only spent three nights and aren’t usually fussy about accommodation since we’re out most of the time. Still, the hot water seemed to run out, perhaps because the boiler wasn’t suited to the number of rooms or guests. The location is a strong point, about a five-minute walk to the beach and close to the bus stop for Fira. It wasn’t a bad stay, but if we return to Kamari, I’d definitely look at other options.

We got a lovely sunrise every morning, and the hotel is run by a really sweet family who make sure you have a good stay. Kamari beach is just a five-minute walk away.

The hosts were kind, welcoming, and always ready to lend a hand. They even arranged a taxi from the hotel for me, which was so thoughtful and convenient. At ARXEAS THIRAS, my room was bright, clean, and comfortable, and the location was peaceful with the beach only a short walk away. It felt like home with a view of paradise. I’d love to return.

The view is amazing, just like in the photo, and the mountain is right beside you. The location is lovely, though it isn’t beachfront, so expect a five to seven minute walk to reach the beach. There’s a serious water issue: in the shower it stopped after two or three minutes, went from hot to cold, then suddenly cut off. We told the owners, but it wasn’t fixed quickly. This needs urgent attention.
