La Mer Deluxe Hotel & Spa - Adults only

The only downside was how close it is to the airport. Planes land every 20-30 minutes, and that can disrupt the peace a bit. Otherwise, it's a stunning hotel with exceptionally friendly staff who make you feel welcome right away. Breakfast is excellent quality and the coffee is perfect. It's just a few meters from a lovely beach, with plenty of restaurants along the waterfront, so the setting is ideal for a relaxing stay.

What made the stay especially memorable was the staff. Everyone was professional, friendly and genuinely caring. Special thanks to receptionist waitress barman och housekeeper, who went above and beyond for us. We felt welcome and well looked after the whole time. The pool area was beautiful and well maintained, with comfortable sunbeds and a calm, relaxing feel. Breakfast each morning had lots of fresh, delicious choices for everyone. Our room was beautifully decorated, extremely clean, and had an incredibly comfortable bed. La Mer Deluxe Hotel & Spa is close to the beach, restaurants and shops, yet peaceful. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Santorini and are already looking forward to coming back. All the way from 🇸🇪🇪🇷 Tack så jättemycket 🫶🏽

The big disappointment was breakfast, the least inspiring we've ever had on holiday. It looked as if the eggs were put out at 8 am and left there until 11am. The bacon was called crispy but was almost raw, and the fruit salad seemed to be yesterday's leftovers chopped up in orange juice. The fruit platter was dull, and Wednesday's melon was past its best. We complained to the Jet2 rep, who spoke to management, but nothing changed. Today the manager told me the bacon was a special kind that couldn't be cooked well. Such a pity, because otherwise it's a nice hotel. There are lots of sunbeds, different pools and plenty of privacy. Rooms are basic but well equipped, including lots of spots to charge phones and an iPad. The staff are very nice and helpful, and food and drink prices are similar to other hotels on the island.

The location is ideal, with just a 3min walk to the beach and plenty of shops, restaurants and bars along it, without feeling overcrowded. My wife and I had a fantastic week here. The pools and sunbeds were always available and never too busy, the staff couldn't do enough for us, and the food was fresh and tasty. Our room was clean and well maintained.
