Ocean Bay Suites

Kamari Beach worked well as a base for us. It wasn’t overpriced and had restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, stores and even a Lidl not far away. With a rented scooter, we could easily visit Oia, Fira and other places around the island. Santorini has a lot to discover and feels full of life and positive energy. It’s not the place for a holiday spent doing nothing in quiet. Planes do fly loudly overhead all day, but that was part of being here for us. Our stay had a wonderful atmosphere, and Vaggelis was the friendliest, kindest and most helpful host we’ve ever met. He answered our questions and helped arrange a Catamaran Sunset Cruise as a surprise for my husband’s birthday. It was wonderful and worth every cent. The rooms were cozy and nice, and we had no problems. We loved having breakfast on the balcony each morning with that mesmerizing view. Thank you for everything, Vaggelis!

The location was great, right by the beach, with many good restaurants nearby. The accommodation provided free umbrellas and sunbeds, and the airport was close, making arrival and departure convenient. Planes do pass quite low overhead, though. Vaggelis was a warm and thoughtful host. Our breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious, and delivered to our terrace each morning. The sea view from our room was breathtaking to wake up to. On checkout day, they let us stay as long as we needed so our little son could nap comfortably before we traveled. We were very happy with the stay and appreciated Vaggelis’ hospitality.

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Vaggelis and his team were wonderful, breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, and housekeeping was great. We had sunrise views from bed, beach chairs were included, and they arranged drivers whenever we needed one. I saw people complain about the noise from planes passing overhead, but it didn’t bother us at all. We actually enjoyed watching them. It’s a natural result of staying at Kamari beach, which is still my favorite area in Santorini after four trips. If the noise really bothers you, you could buy earplugs for the morning after 7am. But sleep in that late and you’ll miss a stunning sunrise!

Loved our stay. The sea view was beautiful, and the location put us close to restaurants and shops. The host met us at the gate to welcome us. Our room was spacious and cozy, with tasteful beach-style decor. There was a pretty garden with peaceful seating spots and some art, and breakfast was served in the room in a lovely setting. A real pool and a softer pillow would have made it even better. Luckily, there was a small unheated jacuzzi right outside our terrace, and the sea was only a few metres from the gate. The bathroom didn’t have much counter space for two women, though there was plenty of room in the room itself. Arriving planes passed very close, but we got used to them quickly and even enjoyed watching them.
