Katerina Hotel

The restaurant food was really tasty, and the service was excellent. The place itself is great, and the owner Alex was friendly. Special thanks to Avram and Panos, who were so good with the kids.

The staff were incredibly polite, especially Avram, who was the best host we'd had in years. That was the only reason I'd recommend this place. Our room was very small, with an ultra-small bathroom, and with two owners at the same hotel, we didn't always get clear answers to our questions. The pool was okay, but it closed at 7 PM for guests. For some reason, the owner could use it until 2 AM and have a pool party, which kept guests from sleeping. The beach in front is unattractive, with big rocks that make getting into the sea difficult. We drove to Vrahos every day and eventually moved there.

Apartment Katerina is in the quiet village of Kanali, just a short walk from the beach and close to tavernas and cafes with good local food. It's also a handy base for visiting Preveza, Parga, and the Epirus coast. The balcony views were beautiful, especially at sunset, and it was lovely to sit there with a glass of wine or beer. The apartment was spotless, modern, and well equipped, with a kitchen that had everything we needed and a cozy, well-kept living area. From our arrival, the owner and the other people there made us feel welcome, saw to what we needed, and surprised us with local treats. That thoughtful hospitality, and their care throughout the place, made our stay feel special. It's peaceful but close to the sea, and suited us so well that we'll definitely return. I'd recommend it for a couple, a family, or anyone wanting a quiet beach break or a base to explore Greece.

The beach across the road was perfect for swimming, with crystal-clear water, and having a sun bed and umbrella for each room was a lovely extra. Kanali was a great spot, with restaurants we really liked, especially Elia and Myriounis. Even in high season it seemed quiet, with lots of Greeks on holiday and very few English people, which suited us fine. Our stay at Katerina was fabulous. We had sea views from the balcony, a lovely little pool, and everything we needed in our studio. The restaurant food was delicious. Kiki, Chris, and their mum, the chef, made us feel so welcome and couldn't do enough for us. We'll definitely be back, and next time we'll hire a car to explore Legolas, Preveza, and the surrounding region. Highly recommended!
