Make sure to reserve, even if you’re coming for weekend lunch. I had wonderful baked goat on Sunday, a flavor I hadn’t come across in a long time. It’s a great spot for local Greek food, with grilled and pan-fried options as well as juicy oven dishes with sauce.

We couldn’t get internet in our room during our six-night stay. We brought it up several times, but it was never fixed, so Wi-Fi was only available in the restaurant. The bathroom setup was awkward too. The shower tray was small, right beside the toilet, and the curtain enclosed both, making it hard to shower without getting the whole area wet. We were also surprised that hotel guests had to pay for sunbeds on the beach right in front. On the plus side, the location is very central, there’s a lovely restaurant downstairs, and free parking was useful. Everything we tried at the restaurant was delicious, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful.

This was the worst dinner we had on the island. We spent an hour just waiting to place our order, while the man serving us kept walking around the table and avoiding eye contact. The problem was really on us, coming from our country to spend money in such a cheap place. Boh.

The restaurant could use more waiters, as it seems understaffed. Still, we’ve had dinner here over the last three summers, and sometimes lunch too, depending on what we were doing that day. It’s probably Karfas’s best restaurant, right by the sea. The meals are tasty and good value, with a handful of daily specials I’d recommend. The complimentary fruit desserts are very tasty too.
