I rarely post reviews, but this stay was frustrating enough that I have to say something. There was no internet connection at all, despite the listing saying Wi-Fi was available. I had no access for the whole stay, which disrupted my work, communication, and plans while I was abroad. The bathroom was also in terrible shape. Its fixtures were rusty and outdated, and the whole thing felt unsanitary, as if it hadn’t been upgraded in decades. The apartment might have had potential, but it clearly wasn’t being maintained. It felt like a total waste of money, and I’d advise looking elsewhere unless rusty fixtures and no internet are acceptable to you.

I felt more like I was at home than in a hotel. Efi is a warm and welcoming owner, and the rooms are spacious enough, with a small kitchen inside. They’re cleaned every day. It’s a peaceful place to stay in Chios, about a 5-10 minute walk from Karfas beach. You can also get straight into the sea from the hotel if you don’t mind the rocks, which makes it feel like your own private sea. I recommend it for a quiet stay.

Everything was wonderful at plaka studios, from the rooms and view to the location. Efie is a very friendly owner. I travelled with my family and a lot of friends, and we had six rooms. Everything went perfectly. I’d strongly recommend staying here, and if I come back to Chios someday, I’d definitely return to Plaka studios.

The balcony has a magnificent sea view, since the apartment is on the seaside. The bathroom is very small and old, though, and needs renovating.
