Sweet Sand Citadel

The upper terrace was our favorite spot. We spent hours under the shade of the mulberry tree, looking out at the sea and listening to the waves over coffee, breakfast, or dinner. The house is clean, practical, and well equipped, especially the kitchen with its fridge-freezer and modern stove. There’s a grassy lawn beside it, which makes it a nice place for families with kids. Since it’s away from the town center, it’s quiet and peaceful. You’re just 25 steps from the beach at Sweet Sand Citadel, where there are both sand and rocks, plus deckchairs and umbrellas for guests to use. The sea was warm, around 26-27C in September, and very clean. Despina said it’s usually warm enough from May through October. If you’d rather have a sandy beach, there’s a larger one with several beach bars, good service, and moderate prices about two minutes away by car. Despina was welcoming and made us feel at home. She lives in the house next to SSC and was always available if we needed anything. We’ll definitely come back and can recommend it.
