Sun Beach Apartments

The location was good, so it gets points for that, and Karpathos itself is a lovely island. We booked at the last minute, though, so there weren’t many places to choose from. We stayed in a family apartment for 12 nights with our children, who are 17 and 20. The apartment was okay, but there was nowhere practical to put clothes for four people. There was no closet or chest of drawers, just one rail with 5-6 hangers, so we spent nearly two weeks living out of suitcases. The second room was hot throughout the stay, around 30 degrees all the time. The air heat pump is in a completely impractical spot, cooling the other wall of the main room instead. It should be above the front door so the second room could get some relief. We were allowed to leave it running for my husband’s health, but it still didn’t help that room. Ants crawled on the table even though we washed the dishes right after breakfast. Cleaning was skipped for two days in a row. The first day the rubbish was taken out, but the next day even that wasn’t done.
