We were made to feel warmly welcomed, almost like family, by miss Kiki, who was EXTREMELY polite and helpful. This is a cosy stone house in Megalo Xorio, around 14-15km from Karpenisi. Our room was very clean, and the bathroom was especially spotless by my standards. We had a balcony looking out to the mountains and a fireplace. Since we got up late and made our own breakfast, we appreciated having tea, several kinds of coffee, homemade cookies and marmalade. The kitchen had all the utensils and appliances, though I did miss having a microwave, which is just my preference :) The village center square is nearby, with a huge tree shading lots of comfortable tables where you can have a frappe or cappuccino. I’d love to come back.

Mrs Kiki and her husband were just amazing. Their hospitality is Greek hospitality at its best! The place was super clean, good value for money, and had an amazing view of the village. Highly recommended.

It was pricey, and there were lots of spider webs on the ceiling. The view wasn't great, though the place itself was good.
