Aelia Luxury Suites

The suite was spotless, and the bedroom was much bigger than we expected. We had a personal Jacuzzi with lovely warm water, and the room was cleaned regularly with fresh towels. It was so cosy and comfortable that I wished we could have stayed longer. Our flight delays meant we arrived at half past 11 at night, well past bedtime, but the gentleman at reception kindly stayed to greet us. He showed us the room and explained everything we needed to know. The hotel is conveniently placed, about a 15-minute walk to the Karterados bus station and 15-20 minutes from the airport. Breakfast had a good enough choice, including hot drinks, salads, and juice. Staying at Aelia Luxury Suites was one of my best stays in Europe!

We booked through TravelZoo, and the package was worth every penny and more. We’ve loved our week at Aelia Hotel. The rooms and public areas are unbelievably good, and breakfast was great. Dinner was included too, though the dining area lights are far too bright in the evening. That could use some work. The staff have been lovely and helpful, especially Ginny the barman, who went out of his way to handle all our requests. We could walk into nearby Fira during the day, and Aelia runs a minibus in the evenings. Everything about the place made for a good time. Loved it!

Breakfast was one of my favorite parts: loads of choices, fresh fruit, and a great coffee machine with all kinds of drinks. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. Our room was cleverly designed, with plenty of counter space and reliably warm water in the bathroom. Town was only a five-minute drive away if we needed anything. And the cats were another favorite. They can be a little skittish, but they’re adorable and not shy about begging for food, haha. Thanks for a great stay!

The property is beautiful, but our experience with management and billing was deeply disappointing. We paid about €10k for 25 rooms for a major event, then had to reschedule because of war disruption. Their representative confirmed in writing that the booking would be reduced to 23 rooms. Later, the new manager, Nikol, refused to honor that and charged us for all 25. We had 14 guests and used only 11 rooms. I was still willing to pay for 23 in good faith, but billing us for 25 felt unfair. There were other problems too: they tried to charge for meals for guests who didn’t exist, changed earlier commitments from a “Free bartender” to a €250 charge, and moved the music cutoff from 1 am to 11 pm. Even basic service requests were slow and took repeated pushing. It didn’t feel like a misunderstanding. It felt like policy was being applied aggressively after payment had been secured. Great property, but avoid it if management is still headed by Ms. Nikol. Service and integrity matter more than anything else.
