Akritas Ef Zin Villas & Suites

The booking information didn’t clearly explain where the rooms were, and the actual rooms were completely different from what we expected. The email gave no real room details, apart from a link that wouldn’t open, and the booking page showed a room with a pool, but ours had no pool. We weren’t told exactly where we were going or what we were booking. The place wasn’t clean. The yard was dirty and covered in leaves, all the plants were dead, and there wasn’t a nice sea view. Things creaked a lot, and the windows and terraces were hard to close. We wanted a lively, noisy place, and we’re noisy too, but it didn’t look like the listing.

The place is literally falling apart. The air conditioning, washing machine, and TV didn’t work, and the woman at reception was rude. Avoid it, or your holiday could be ruined like ours.

It feels like the whole place could collapse or close down. The dishwasher and washing machine were broken, half the mosquito nets were missing, and the air conditioning worked in only one of the three villas we rented. Service was really bad, and the woman at reception was rude. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We only stayed two nights, but had a great time. The villa was very clean, and the pool right outside it was spacious, spotless, and open all the time. Staff were friendly and helped with everything we asked for. There was a bottle of wine waiting as a welcome gift, and the amenities were provided. We didn’t get to try the restaurant, though the view was astonishing. My one complaint is that the villa’s plumbing worked, but could use servicing to match the rest of the place. We’d definitely recommend it and visit again.
