Dimitrios Apartments

My ground-floor studio was large, had what I needed and came with a newly refurbished shower room. The furnishings weren’t luxurious, but they were perfectly adequate for the price. The pool area was immaculate, and the views were gorgeous, straight across to Sarande. It was a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the harbour, or two minutes to the beach, with Immerolia Fish restaurant directly opposite. Note that the driveway is steep if you have trouble walking.

I’m leaving this from the balcony using the WiFi. The balcony is lovely, there’s plenty of storage and a gorgeous little bathroom, and the pool area is very nice. Everything was as I’d hoped, and it’s excellent value. The bed is very hard, though, and the kitchen utensils are an odd assortment. You can hear the waves from across the road, and it takes about five minutes to get to the sea. There’s a very good but expensive fish restaurant nearby. The slip road up is steep, and while town isn’t far, the traffic can feel intimidating. After dark we carried a torch and a hi-vis bag to be more visible. The town itself is lovely, just the right size.

We stayed here a few years ago and had a lovely time. Our top-floor apartment had magnificent views, it was clean, and the owners were lovely. The children's pool was just right for our daughter, who was three then. It’s a little way out of the village, but we enjoyed walking in each day, about 15 minutes. Would recommend.

The sunrise is stunning from these east-facing apartments. They all look out to sea, with Kassiopi on the right and the mountains of Albania across the straits. The place was clean, the beds comfortable, and we had what we needed to cook, serve food and feel at home. There’s a nice, clean pool with a great view, ample parking and a neatly kept garden. It’s a 10-15 minute walk into Kassiopi.
