Emily's Apartments

We spent August 2022 here for a month, sharing two apartments with another family. The pool was large and very clean, and the grounds and pool area were looked after almost every day. Our apartments were cleaned to a high standard every three days. They were a good size, with brilliant air conditioning and very good Wi-Fi. It’s an easy walk into town, with a shop just two minutes away and another nice bay nearby. Any problems were dealt with straight away, though we barely had any. Nothing negative to report, and we’d recommend these apartments to anyone after clean, good accommodation in Kassiopi.

The garden was lovely and peaceful, and with four apartments sharing the pool, we often had it to ourselves. Dimitris came by each morning to keep everything clean and in good shape. Kassiopi is a short walk away, along with several lovely beaches. We stayed the first week of August and had a great time. Our apartment had two bedrooms, a lovely bathroom, a kitchen diner, and a sofa and chairs on the enclosed balcony. The decor was done to a high standard, and both the air conditioning and door screens worked a treat. Thanks for a wonderful holiday, we’d highly recommend it.

Our cycling trip to Corfu was planned for June 2020, but we couldn’t go because of the Covid pandemic. The flights were cancelled and the government advised against travel to Greece, so we were unable to travel. We didn’t cancel the booking ourselves. The policy said, “The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel.” In legal terms, we understood the contract to be “frustrated,” since circumstances outside either party’s control made it impossible to fulfil. Other hotels showed consideration and offered refunds. Emily’s Apartments repeatedly refused and issued vouchers instead, which are no use to us because health concerns mean we’re very unlikely to visit Corfu in the next few years. Even if they thought Greek law protected them, I’d have hoped for some compassion towards guests who couldn’t use their bookings through no fault of their own. Think carefully before booking here. After a year with no help from Emily’s Apartments, our bank reclaimed the money from their account.

The balcony was large and had nice views, and the bathroom was good. The pool was a good size, and the place was peaceful at night despite being only a short walk from town. We stayed for seven nights in August 2018, and it exceeded what we expected. Air conditioning and a secure safe were included. I’d happily return.
