Sun and Moon Villas

Breakfast arrived each morning with a lovely mix of sweet and savory choices. We also enjoyed the pool, especially its view and welcoming atmosphere. The facilities and staff were both great, and the whole place felt like a little oasis for a vacation. I’d recommend it to anyone who asks.

Jo was fantastic, always nearby when we had a question or needed help. The villas are quiet and comfortable, with small fridges, a little kitchen, and porches facing the mountains, sea, or pool. Pyrgaki beach is about a 10-minute walk and wonderfully peaceful, with the occasional goat crossing. The remote setting is part of the appeal, though it takes around 30 minutes to reach Hora and 25 to Filoti. For exploring, we found a car more useful than a scooter because some of the side roads are dusty and rocky, which adds to the rustic feel. There are tavernas near the beach and a market about a 10-minute drive away, with a good range of produce, alcohol, snacks, cheese, and beach supplies. Naxos and this spot are hard to beat.

I loved the garden around the complex, and the whole place was peaceful and quiet. The pool sits nicely in the center, and the staff were kind and helpful. The apartment and bathroom were on the small side, but attractively furnished and decorated. Rooms were clean, beach towels fresh, and breakfast was good. The homemade orange jam was especially delicious.

I chose Sun & Moon partly because of the pool and its location, and the pool is one of the main reasons I’m here on vacation. In 2022 everything was perfect, but now in 2023 it closes at 18:00? At least keep it open until 19:00. I just came from somewhere with a 24-hour pool. Check the photo!
