Katalagari Country Suites

The breakfast was really good, with a local specialty served each time and explained to us. The apartment hotel was excellent, and the service felt warm and welcoming. It was quiet too.

Breakfast is served at tables under a roof by the pool, with food to choose from at the indoor buffet. Try the Cretan bougatsa, dakos, and the range of local fruit. They bring coffee to the table, and there’s a plant-based drink option too. The staff were especially kind with kids, always helpful and doing their best to make things comfortable. The place was cleaned daily. It’s a lovely, very clean little apartment hotel not far from Heraklion, with easy routes to places from there. You can hear traffic from the nearby highway, though it’s much less noticeable inside with the windows shut. The ladies are super friendly, and the setting is beautiful.

The view and setting are breathtaking, and there's plenty of private parking. The hotel was extremely clean, breakfast was really good, and the rooms had all the amenities plus a small local welcome gift. Staff were friendly and flexible. It’s only about a 20 minute drive to the city centre, with good access to the national highway, and it felt like one of the best value for money hotels. One thing they could add is an espresso machine.

The staff were super helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. The garden is beautiful and the pool is a good size. The location is really peaceful, but quite far from everything. Rooms are spacious and have what you need, though they could be a little outdated.
