It took 15-20 minutes to walk down to the seafront, where there are restaurants and a few shops. The staff on site were friendly. My husband and I had a lovely August holiday here, and the rooms were clean but basic. We paid for a luxury apartment with cooking facilities, but it only had one electric ring and a kettle, which hardly counts as cooking facilities.

We noticed lots of returning guests, many of whom knew each other from earlier holidays, and it's easy to see why. Everyone was friendly, and we'd highly recommend staying here. The hotel is adults only, which was a bonus for us. Staff were all helpful and friendly, the rooms immaculate with good-quality furniture, and the pool area well laid out with plenty of beds and chairs. There was also an onsite restaurant serving very good food. We had a Superior room overlooking the pool, with beautiful views around the hotel. Alykes town is a short walk away, and you can walk to Alykanas too, with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. One thing I'd change is the timing: we went 27Sep to Mid October, when the place was starting to shut down. The reduced bus timetable meant the Zante town trip had a 7.30 bus out and the last bus back was 12.00 midday. I'd go a little earlier next time.

The Sunday Lamb Shank is sublime, and the food available is absolutely delicious. We spent two glorious weeks here, and Marcus and his wife were fabulous, always ready to help. The rooms were perfect, cleaned every day, with fresh towels every other day. The pool stayed clean and had plenty of sunbeds. Adults only was a bonus for us, too. Bars, restaurants and the beautiful beach are a short walk away. I'd highly recommend booking a stay.

It's peaceful here, yet just a 15-minute walk from the busier areas and the beautiful beach. Marcus and his team made us feel so welcome and helped with everything. Most guests seem to return, and now we can see why: we've already booked to come back next year. Look out for the special Sunday lamb shank and the special burger, which is so much more than just a burger.
