We chose Melina’s House because I like staying in small, locally owned places and getting a feel for everyday life and culture. Mr. Antonis and Mrs. Melina welcomed us with real warmth and care. They made us feel at home, not like people who had simply rented a room. Our room was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The morning sea view was a highlight, and the setting was peaceful, just a short drive from Chania. I strongly recommend Melina’s House if you want a real and memorable stay in Crete. Crete has a long tradition of hospitality, and the welcome we received here felt like a lovely example of it. Greek culture has valued xenia for millennia, and it's said that Zeus, king of the gods and god of hospitality, was born on this island.

Melina's House is a charming-looking apartment with a serene, cozy feel. Laundry was easy to do, with drying racks available. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and even greeted us with Raki, which was so sweet. The location is excellent, within walking distance of a long stretch of shops in a friendly neighborhood. We visited a few nearby shops, and the owners were all nice and amiable. When our bathtub clogged, the host sorted it out in no time. Very efficient problem solving. We recommend this place!

The ocean view from our room was amazing and felt very private. There are plenty of good places to eat nearby and a beach within walking distance. Antonis and Melina made sure we had a good stay, going far beyond what we expected and making our time in Chania memorable. I'll always remember the hospitality at Melinas House. Nothing was too much trouble, and whenever we came or went, we were greeted with a warm smile and an offer of coffee or raki. I can't recommend this hotel enough. I hope to come back and stay again soon.
