Sirocos Villa

One thing to plan for: the buses stopping outside the villa don't begin running until mid-April, so be ready to walk to another stop or take a taxi. Aside from that, we had a lovely group holiday in April and would happily come back. The villa was spotless and packed with useful things, from pool loungers and air con to a washing machine, diffuser, spare blankets, toiletries, and kitchen bits. There were clear instructions, games, and books with local activities and recipes. The host was friendly when we picked up the keys, and the welcome basket included homemade raki and wine. Thanks for having us.

The owners were great to deal with, and everyone who helped with the cleaning, pool checks, and letting us in was friendly and wonderful. We came to Crete hoping for somewhere clean, spacious, enjoyable, and well located, and Villa Sirocos went well beyond what we expected. We had a fantastic vacation and would definitely return, and recommend it to anyone visiting Crete.

Everything looked lovely and worked well, and the house, garden, and pool were spotless. A cleaner came every three days. One small thing could be improved: a net to keep the ball under the pool would help, especially with the neighbour and field.

We felt at home during our ten days here. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a Greek-inspired look that we enjoy when visiting somewhere new. The villa had what we needed, and it's a nice spot for families with kids, with a clean pool and an area to sit out and enjoy the weather. The sea is very close, and plenty of supermarkets nearby had all the groceries we needed, so we didn't bother going to Lidl or the larger store nearby. When I got injured, the owners were quick to respond and helped arrange a taxi. The medicine box was well stocked too. We appreciated the kind welcome basket, and also liked the little taverna Kimatogi, about a 5-7 minute walk away.
