Cabo

The pool area was beautiful, and the food was better than any all inclusive we've tried before. The whole staff were lovely, especially Christina, aka Mary Poppins. I honestly thought there were two of her! We would've liked a little evening entertainment, maybe some gentle live music. Kavos didn't have much to offer us, though it was the end of the season.

We wanted somewhere relaxing, and this was just right. The hotel was spotless, the pool was a perfect temperature, and it felt safe leaving our things on the sunbeds. The drinks were nice and cold, and the food was perfect. It's close enough to the strip for a visit but far enough away to feel peaceful. The staff were lovely, especially Dina, who kept making us laugh. A perfect place for a relaxing holiday!

The sea entrance could use a handrail to make the slippery steps safer to use. The hotel is beautiful, with good facilities, food, and attentive staff. But the constant house music spoiled it for me. It pumps away from 10 a.m. to midnight, even outside the DJ sets, and gets loudest during them. The speakers by the bottom pool are hard to escape anywhere on site. People were trying to move away from them for some peace, and their music drowned out the calmer sounds from the top pool and restaurant. At dinner, we asked staff several times to turn it down because both soundtracks together made an unsettling racket. When the DJs finish, a playlist takes over, still almost all house music. We often went off the grounds to get away from the loudest hours. If you're into house music, you'll love it. For me, it was grating and something to put up with. It's a bewildering policy for such a beautiful hotel.

I hadn't realized Cabo had taken over the hotel I'd booked, so the refresh was a pleasant surprise. Everything was clean, the food was fabulous, and I can't fault any of the staff, from the restaurant and bar teams to housekeeping.
