The amenities listed, including the pool, barbecue, Wi-Fi, and beach access, did exist, but they were at reception, about 1 km from the studio. The listing made it sound like they were at the studio, and that only became clear after we complained. The offer was then corrected. We lost two whole days of our holiday over this. We walked the 1 km to reception six times and checked two other studios, which were in the same deplorable state. In the end, we had to pay to move somewhere else so we could enjoy the trip at all. Aurumturs offered just 5% of the trip price as “compensation,” which was a bad joke given the conditions and wasted time. Getting there was a mess from the start. After we arrived, we called reception and were told we apparently had no booking. After a lot of back and forth, an older man eventually came to collect us in a dilapidated car. We already felt uneasy. The studio was in awful shape. The toilet was full of feces, the shower drain was clogged with limescale and hair, and the kitchen was heavily scaled too, with black marks that looked like mold to an untrained eye. Corfu water is high in limescale, but the place should still have been cleaned regularly.
