Apollon Palace

We had a great time. Thanks for everything!

A great place that’s very affordable.

The sea view was real and beautiful, and the staff were kind and welcoming, but the hotel itself looked nothing like the stylish, light luxury stay shown in the photos. We booked it for our honeymoon, expecting a well-kept boutique feel, then left after one night because the difference between the advertising and the actual condition was so stark. The promotional images seem heavily edited or enhanced to me. The breakfast was especially disappointing: dry bread, watered-down instant coffee, boiled eggs, and a few pieces of fruit plated as if a toddler had helped. It was nowhere near the abundant, fresh spread in the photos. The room images suggested fluffy robes, luxury amenities, and carefully chosen details, but the wardrobe area felt bare and neglected, more like a forgotten budget rental. The bathroom was another letdown. Instead of the attractive toiletries and polished finish shown online, there were a few small plastic shampoo bottles and a broken shower head. I’ve included side-by-side photos of the marketing images and what we found, so future guests can judge for themselves. The staff did their best, and my disappointment isn’t with them. They’re left managing expectations set by pictures that don’t seem to reflect the hotel’s current state. A modest hotel could still offer value if advertised honestly, but these photos promised something the property couldn’t deliver. I left feeling misled, disappointed, and genuinely angry that this was how our honeymoon began.

Such a beautiful place, and the hospitality was the best. Thank you!
