Pension Marina

Kinira beach is only a minute’s walk down the street, and the rooms are clean, cozy and private. Marina is so kind and upbeat, and was there whenever we needed anything. A lovely place for a relaxing family stay.

Marina, her mother Eleni, her father Metaxas, and even her sweet, funny son Mihail were all welcoming hosts, a real example of Greek hospitality. The room was cleaned daily, with towels and sheets changed regularly, or whenever we asked. There’s A/C, a TV, a fridge and a balcony, and they helped with things like a shaker, mosquito repellent and a small basin for washing clothes. For somewhere to sleep and wash while exploring Thassos, I found it great value. It’s not a five-star resort, so don’t expect that kind of luxury or amenities, but I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced base near the island’s beaches and nature.

The hosts were warm and ready to help with anything, and the place was spotless. It’s a quiet, tucked-away guest house with no street noise. We found our stay restful and memorable.

This was my second year spending a holiday here, and I’d happily return again. The apartments are clean, comfortable and pleasant, with a home-like feel. I especially enjoyed having a balcony for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Thanks for such a lovely stay, Marina, Mihail, Panagiotis, Eleni and Metaxa!
