Dimitris studios

We got our full cash payment back, but the stay was awful. We had booked four nights in June at Dimitris Hotel, Samos, Greece. They asked for cash rather than the usual money transfer; we paid on arrival, were shown the room, and couldn't get an invoice. The elderly lady in charge couldn't understand us and directed us to her son at Cafe Bar Reef if there was a problem. We went to him straight away, as the room stank of urine and was filthy. The floor looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months, food was stuck to the cooking pots, the sheets and tiny shower curtains were dirty, black water came out at first when we turned on a tap, and the door lock was difficult to use. The son was extremely rude, saying he had no time to help. When I said we'd wait, he screamed at me and demanded to know what country we were from. I said that had nothing to do with the problem and asked for our cash back. He called his father and told us to “go.” The father came to the room shouting rudely at my wife and calling her a MFC. We did get all our cash back.

The room had everything we needed and was clean, with a wonderful sea-view balcony. The hospitality was good, and we were very satisfied with the accommodation. The location is great too. I'd have been happier if the balcony bulbs worked.

It's basic accommodation, but the location in Kokkari is nice. You can walk to everything in town.

Studio Dimitris made for a wonderful holiday. Popi and Dimitri are amazing hosts, and the rooms are spotless with everything you need. The market, bakery, and pharmacy are all close by. At Reef Cafe, you get the same warm hospitality, and can spend the day sunbathing on the loungers with a cold coffee. The sea is crystal clear. If you want to enjoy the sun and sea while feeling at home, stay here. Thanks again to Popi and Dimitri for everything. ❤
