The rooms are a good size, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. From the hotel, it’s a short walk to some lovely beaches, with shops and restaurants close by. Heraklion is a short drive away, and there’s a bus stop nearby with a bus into town every 30 minutes. It’s a great place to stay if you want somewhere fairly quiet that’s still near the sea and local amenities. I’d definitely recommend it.

The rooms are nice and the pool is fine, but the food is mediocre and there isn’t much choice. The nearby taverns are a good alternative, with excellent food at good prices. For what you pay, the hotel is worth it.

The hotel is quiet, with no crowds, and has direct access to the sea. Rooms are clean, the food is good, and the staff are really nice and helpful. Stores and restaurants are close by too. We recommend the Greek evening, as well as a trip to Knossos and Heraklion with Mrs Ela, a Polish guide. The hotel is worth recommending.

Shotels Sunset Beach Hotel is well kept and modern, with large, clean rooms and lovely staff. The food is fresh every day and has plenty of variety. The beach beside the hotel is clean, with enough loungers and umbrellas. It’s also well located, just a few minutes by bus from Heraklion. I’d choose this hotel again if I return to Crete. The parking and beach are good, and the staff are friendly. The Wi-Fi is awful, though, and while the room is more or less clean, its quality feels very cheap. Food is mediocre and the same things are served all the time. It’s cheaper than better hotels, so you get what you pay for.
