The villa is lovely, with a beautiful view, and we were welcomed with olives, eggs, fruit, and wine. It’s spacious, and there’s a separate entrance, but the house isn’t detached. People live below, and the quiet hours weren’t clearly explained in the listing. Our main problem was privacy. They came into the house every day without our consent, and not to clean or take out the rubbish. On the first day we allowed entry so they could fix the broken fridge, but they kept coming in afterward. We left the air conditioning on to see if they would enter, and when we returned it had been switched off. The fridge broke on our first night, and they tried to blame us. The owners weren’t helpful, and the way we were treated made us feel unwelcome. It was quite unpleasant, especially since the house itself is nice. The kitchen is poorly equipped. Bring your own coffee filters, napkins, and dishwasher detergent, since they provide very little or none of some things. There were hardly any rubbish bags and no instructions for dealing with the rubbish. The price included a cleaning fee, yet checkout rules still said to clean the kitchen, take out the rubbish, wipe the counter, and wash the dishes. I don’t understand what the fee was for.

We felt at home at Ulivo Sea View House. It was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped, with all the little touches that showed how much care Martina puts into it. The terrace view is breathtaking, and the location was close to everything while still peaceful. Martina was welcoming and quick to respond from the time we booked. She made things easy, shared great local tips, and made sure we were comfortable throughout. We’re already talking about coming back. Highly recommend, you’ll be in good hands!

Our cats loved the house too, and we’d absolutely recommend it. It’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer. The host greeted us with a smile even though we arrived after midnight. The house was bright, airy, welcoming, very clean, and had everything we needed. Our vacation at Ulivo Sea View House ends tomorrow.

Martina and her family made us feel so welcome and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. They were always ready to help and had great recommendations. We’d love to return. The house exceeded our expectations. It’s on a hill in a quiet residential area, with a wonderful sea view, and the furnishings are high quality. We felt at home right away. Kokkini Hani is only a few minutes away by car, with good restaurants, supermarkets, and beautiful beaches. The house also makes a great base for trips around central and eastern Crete.

We highly recommend this fantastic house. It’s in a very quiet spot with lovely views of the sea and the village of Kokkini Hani below. The family was warm and welcoming, and it’s ideal for larger families with children.
