The view in the morning was breathtaking, with the sea just a stone's throw away. We'd only booked here because the hotel where my sister was getting married was full, but I'm so glad we did. After our four-hour flight, we arrived well after midnight to find sandwiches and bottled water in the mini-fridge, plus tea and coffee in the room. Someone drove us to our room by cart, and the porter carried our bags upstairs. We sat on the balcony with a cup of tea, listening to the waves, though it was too dark to see the view. Breakfast had loads to choose from, from yogurt to a full English, with tea, coffee, juice and soft drinks available. By day three I couldn't manage another bite. The bar was well stocked, and I loved the daily cocktail special, especially the ouzo delight, while sitting on the terrace and watching people pass by. Staff were always polite, smiling and quick to clear the table. There were plenty of loungers by the pool, so no 3am towel dash was needed. There was an ice cream "van," a pool bar, an adults-only pool with its own bar, a wellness spa, a beach bar and the lounge's main bar. I also liked seeing the cats around the hotel, including one curled up on the lounge sofa and a ginger one wandering around the outdoor dining area. The photographer made me uneasy, first stopping us for photos and then approaching us the next morning to sell them. We paid €30 for 3 out of 6. Even so, it was the best holiday I've had in years, and we've booked to return next year for 2 weeks.

We came as a group of 28 for my son's wedding, and every one of us loved the stay. The food and drinks were great, with plenty of tasty choices, and our room was comfortable and spotless. It was cleaned daily by friendly, professional staff. The staff are what make the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. I especially want to mention bar staff Vaggelis and Rafaela. They went above and beyond. When my 19yrs son had too much to drink, Vaggelis helped him back to our room. Even after my son was sick on him, he still smiled and greeted him with a hug the next day. At home, I think the reaction would've been very different. From stepping off the coach, we were treated with warmth and respect. Anyone considering a stay should go, it's well worth it. Thank you to the owners, and I hope you appreciate every one of your staff. They give their all to their jobs and guests. I hope to come back soon.

Getting into town was easy: the bus picks you up right outside, so there was no standing in the summer sun waiting around. The hotel itself is smart and tidy, and the rooms are especially clean. Great place to stay if you're heading to Kos.

The room had a very comfortable bed and good air conditioning. The hotel is modern, nicely decorated and mostly clean, and the buffet had a great range of tasty food. Most of the staff were lovely and made a fuss of our daughter, which she loved. Magdalena, Oliwia and Rea at the buffet were particularly fantastic. There were a lot of downsides too. Our maisonette's upstairs was never cleaned, and one of the TVs didn't work while the other showed information for another hotel. Nobody helped with luggage off the coach. In our room, you get instant coffee, which I wouldn't expect at a 5* hotel. Apart from the lobby bar and terrace, there was no drinks service, even at the buffet. Some staff even scoffed at reasonable guest requests. The pools felt boring, with no fountains, bridges or slides for the children's pool. The only playground equipment that suited our daughter was cordoned off, possibly because the slide drop was too high. Drinks were poor apart from beer and red wine. The spa was just a hut offering massages. The area by the beach bar was filthy, with cigarette butts and empty sugar and cutlery packets all over the ground, and no ash trays. Since that's also where the baby disco is, it wasn't ideal with our two-year-old picking everything up. For me, it's a decent 4* hotel, but not up to 5* standard.

The best things were the location and the beautiful beach. The rest was so disappointing that I wouldn't stay here again even if it were free. I give it two stars only for those two positives. Our family, my wife, our one-year-old son and me, was placed right by the main restaurant. Parties ran from 9 p.m. to midnight, and the hotel held several weddings with fireworks after 10 p.m. The rooms had no soundproofing. We could hear staff talking and the kitchen door slamming from 6 a.m. until midnight. It wasn't fixed during our stay, even though we reported it several times through the travel agency and reception. We asked to move rooms more than once, but they only moved us on the sixth day, farther from the restaurant. We were sleep-deprived for 6 days, and our child became weakened and fell ill. Both rooms we stayed in needed renovation and proper cleaning. The food was monotonous. Tap water was yellow and smelled of chlorine, and the hotel supplied just one small bottle of water per person every two days, which doesn't meet what I'd expect of a 5* hotel. The dispensers at the seaside bar were mouldy and unusable. Some staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful, while others seemed bored and overworked. The hotel seemed focused on money without delivering 5* service. For six sleepless nights, we were given a one-hour later checkout on our last day as compensation. That's a joke.
