Palm Beach Annex

It’s a three-star hotel, but we thought it was fantastic. Our superior room was spacious and very clean, with a good balcony and sea view. The hotel is outside Kos centre, away from the busy port and souvenir shops, and there’s a beach at the end of the road with several Tabernas by the water. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, especially the waiters, cleaning lady, and bar staff. Happy hour really did last two hours, and the cocktails were great. Would I return? Yes, though there are other Greek islands we’d like to visit too. A big thank you to the PALM BEACH staff 👍🏼👍🏼

The restaurant staff were gloomy and barely interacted with us. I asked for another napkin and was told I already had one on the table. They greeted people who spoke German or another language, but the only people who spoke to us were the woman and girl clearing plates. I also saw no gloves or hairnets while food was being served, which didn’t seem hygienic. The food was warm to cold at every meal. Fried eggs, bacon, and beans at breakfast were cold, and dinner was much the same. When we asked why it wasn’t hot, reception said some people like it that way. We had to ask for our dinner to be heated in the microwave, and that seemed to be a bother, so we ate out in the evenings after that. The room was a good size and the bed comfortable. The maids were lovely, cleaned every day, and changed towels every two days. But although I told them I had a disability, they put us on the second floor, up about 15 steps, which was a struggle. We stayed seven days and don’t think we’ll return.

I spent a week here and was very happy with the stay. The new rooms were a real highlight, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay for the price, though it could be better. The nearby beach isn’t the best, and it’s a bit of a trek to town, but the area is peaceful. I left very satisfied.

The food was really good despite what some reviews said, and everyone on staff was friendly. My fiance and I stayed for ten nights. Kos town is a quiet 25-30 minute walk away. Our room was always clean, and they leave water for the stray cats and feed them. We got a penalty ticket that had nothing to do with the hotel, and the staff helped translate it, explained how to pay, and showed us the spot on Google Maps. They were closing for the season the day we left, but we never felt hurried. My fiance loves eggs and bacon, and the waiter offered to make them for her each morning for about three mornings as the restaurant began closing. The patio doors are a little odd, but we figured them out and they weren’t a real problem. WiFi was choppy now and then, though mostly fine and fast. We had a really nice time here.
