Pantheon Apartments

For a short stay, the basic room worked fine for us. The bathroom is dated, but the balcony was a big plus for having coffee. It’s close to everything in Kos town, including restaurants and the port, where we arrived just five minutes away. The host was welcoming and accommodating.

We couldn’t get a room at 2 a.m. and ended up spending the night at Kos airport, with our two children. I had called Eleni to book by phone, as I’d done for the previous three years, but just before our flight I called to confirm and she said they don’t take phone bookings and that we had no reservation. She started yelling that if we came to the hotel, she’d call the police. I don’t know if she has dementia, but she was extremely rude. I definitely wouldn’t recommend trusting a booking made this way. The rooms aren’t cleaned well and service is zero. The one good thing is that the hotel is very close to the centre.

The service was so amazing I’d give more than five stars if I could. I’d accidentally booked the wrong day and was in a panic, but the owner understood and let me stay one day earlier. Then I locked myself out of my room. I called her again, and within 30 minutes she’d found a locksmith to get me back in.

A wee self-catering apartment, fairly clean, with a nice balcony and a great location. The taxi driver knew where to find it. There’s air conditioning in the bedroom, which I’m a fan of, get it? 🍸 No reception.
