Peridis Family Resort

The beds are comfortable, the rooms are a good size, and the shower was the best I've had in Greece. Staff were friendly enough. But this is nowhere near a five-star hotel, and having tourist tax charged according to its star rating stings. The pool area felt cramped even in September, with heavy old loungers that I struggled to move and parasols that couldn't be adjusted. I dread to think how packed it must feel in midsummer. It feels like a city-center hotel, about a 10-minute walk into Kos town. There's no car park if you hire a car, though there is plenty of street parking. It was alright, but I wouldn't rush back or necessarily recommend it.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and we had a great family holiday here. The pools are cold, but beautiful. The front of the hotel is noisy, and the surrounding area is a bit run down. The nearest decent beach is a good mile away, past Kos Old town.

Breakfast is plentiful, varied and delicious, and the toilets and bathrooms were clean and spacious, which matters to me. The hotel is clean, has a good pool and rooms with large balconies. Staff are friendly and polite. It's right in the center, close to the old city and not far from the port. There's a beach within walking distance by the marina. The one drawback, if it matters to you, is that you'd need a taxi to get to the famous beaches farther from the city center.

The staff made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout our four-night stay at Peridis Hotel. Aynur and Anna gave us a lovely welcome at reception, and Christiana looked after us so warmly in the restaurant. Everyone was kind and welcoming. Evi was fantastic at the Kids Club, cheerful and great with the children. We felt safe leaving them with her, and they loved playing games and spending time together. My daughter especially had a wonderful time 🥰. The Greek night and dance show were lovely too. Our room was beautiful, with a pool view, two balconies, a kitchen, living room and bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathroom was great, especially the shower. It was cleaned every day after breakfast. We were very satisfied and would definitely recommend the hotel.
