Portes Houses

We had some amazing evenings at Portes Houses, and the hotel picked us up at the port. The outdoor space is beautiful, and the breakfast was another highlight, with a great selection and the option to eat on our private terrace. We’ll be back!

The quiet setting was close enough to the beaches and charming town, but still felt serene. Breakfast was a morning highlight, with fresh homemade food that gave us a taste of the island. Portes Houses was impeccably maintained and tastefully decorated, and our spotless, spacious room had a lovely private terrace with beautiful views. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel welcome. Their hospitality was heartfelt, and the staff went out of their way to help, offering personal recommendations and making us feel like guests rather than customers. Portes Houses was an authentic, relaxing stay in the Cyclades. We can’t wait to return.

It was our honeymoon, and the team had prepared a lovely surprise, towels folded into swans and flower petals arranged in a heart on the bed. We also left some clothes in the room and only realized after we got back to Athens. I called, and they helped arrange for a friend of ours who was still on the island to collect them. The property was beautiful and peaceful, breakfast was incredible, and the staff were lovely. The owner and her daughter were welcoming, too. I’d definitely recommend the hotel and would come back. Thank you, Fotini and team!

The pool, garden, food, location, cleanliness, and friendly staff all charmed us at Portes Houses. I’d suggest booking one of the regular rooms rather than the basement ones, which lacked soundproofing. Thanks for having us!
