Viena Rooms & Apartments

We stayed for a week in September 2022. Staff at Viena were always welcoming and helpful. Our room suited a short stay as a couple, though for a longer visit I’d choose one of the larger apartments. The large, clean pool was a highlight, set in spacious, well-kept gardens with a sea view. There were quality sun loungers with parasols or shade from trees. Breakfast was fresh and wonderful at the poolside buffet each morning, and snacks and refreshments were available during the day. The location is convenient, with beaches and tavernas a short drive away and all the amenities of Paleochora about five minutes away. We especially liked Krios beach. It was relatively quiet, with wonderfully clear, warm water and a cafe/bar nearby for drinks or snacks. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay so much last year that we booked again this year, and we’ll be back next year too. The friendly Greek family who own and run Viena are a lovely example of Crete’s hospitality. Breakfast is very generous, with homemade pastries and preserves. The peace and quiet here feels magical. The accommodation sits in beautifully maintained gardens with a large grassy area. Thank you!

We stayed three nights at the end of October, and the weather was fabulous. The owners are super friendly and take care of everything to make sure you enjoy your stay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, the best on the whole island. With mountains all around and the beach close by, it’s a lovely place for hiking along the coast, reaching some famous beaches on foot, or going off-road driving. We’ll definitely be back next year.

Eleni, the owner, made us feel very comfortable during our stay. Breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were clean and nice, and the bathroom looked brand new. There’s a huge pool, and the sea is nearby too. Paleochora is only a short drive away.
